Training a Strong Future Workforce.

Hardin County, Tennessee believes in a skilled workforce for business success. The Workforce Alliance Partnership for Placement of Hardin County is a nonprofit founded by community leaders, employers and the Hardin County School System to develop the next generation of workers within the county. Local workshops and training for entrepreneurs help support small business.

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Crump partners with area high schools to offer grants and dual enrollment for certification programs. Jackson State Community College's branch location, Savannah-Hardin County Center, is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and offers an associate degree in General Studies.

Tennessee is leading the way in education reform by increasing the number of Tennesseans with college degrees or certifications through Tennessee Promise and TN Reconnect. As the first state in the country with these initiatives, Tennessee's higher education initiatives ensure employers have the support of highly skilled workers.

SCHOOLS & EDUCATION

With a high school graduation rate above the state average and ACT scores on par with state averages, Hardin County is paving the way for a trained workforce in its community. Along with community leaders and employers, Hardin County Schools has created the Workforce Alliance Partnership for Placement to help place high school graduating men and women in employment within the community.

Postsecondary options include Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson and Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Crump. Jackson State Community College has a branch campus in Savannah called Savannah-Hardin County Center.
